Quick take
The Altaros drop-in regulator engineered specifically for the Artemis PP700SA pistol/carbine platform. 14 orders, 100% positive. This regulator is the rare drop-in that doesn't require any tricks — no O-ring removal, no air-space gymnastics on the threads, no filing a notch in the tube. You just remove the air tube, stick the regulator in the end cap nearest the breech, set your desired psi, and reassemble. Bypasses the factory regulator by tightening it fully clockwise with the Allen key in the trigger guard — eliminates the regulator creep issue the stock unit is known for. Currently out of stock.

The Hunt & Live take
Why this regulator earns the pick
The PP700SA is a fantastic small PCP platform with one persistent factory flaw: the stock regulator suffers from “creep” — its set output pressure rises over time, which means your zero drifts, your shot strings get inconsistent, and you can’t trust the rifle for tuning. The fix used to require filing a notch in the tube or playing games with the O-ring stack.
This Altaros drop-in is the clean fix. The install is the simplest in any PP700SA regulator on the market:
- Remove the air tube
- Drop the Altaros into the end cap closest to the breech
- Set your desired psi
- Screw the tube back on
- Use the trigger-guard Allen key to fully bypass the factory regulator (clockwise to the stop)
No O-rings come out. No notches get filed. No air-space tricks. The factory regulator stays installed but inactive, and the Altaros takes over as the only working regulator.
What it pairs with
- Artemis PP700SA (pistol) — the primary host
- Artemis PP700SA Carbine (the partner sells a PP700SA 14-16" carbine barrel) — same install
- Huma-Air regulator for Artemis M22 / PP700SA — the Huma alternative if Altaros is out of stock
Honest trade-offs
Currently out of stock. Email Wes at support@airgunarcheryfun.ca for the next restock.
Not interchangeable with the PP750/M11. Despite the family name overlap, the PP700SA and PP750/M11 have different reservoir architectures — buy the Altaros PP750/M11 regulator for those rifles.
Disable the factory reg or live with it fighting you. The instruction to fully bypass the factory regulator (Allen key clockwise to the stop) isn’t optional. If you leave it engaged, you’ll have two regulators in series and the rifle will behave erratically.
