Snowpeak StormRider / Bandit Regulator
Snowpeak's own-brand regulator for the StormRider and Bandit. The most extensive install of the three options, but factory-spec internals at factory pricing.

Quick take
Snowpeak's own-brand regulator for the Diana StormRider and Bandit. 12 orders. This is the most invasive install of the three StormRider / Bandit regulator options — the full-length regulator covers the gauge hole in the StormRider pressure tube (so you lose the stock gauge and should buy the front fill-cap gauge to replace it) and replaces the front half of the exhaust valve. For the Bandit pistol, you'll also need to drill a vent hole in the air tube 2.1 cm ahead of the valve retaining screw hole. Adjusts via a front flathead screw; counterclockwise for more pressure. Optional checkout add-on: complete regulator + rear valve half + valve stem for spare parts or leaky valve replacement. Currently out of stock.

The Hunt & Live take
Why this regulator earns the pick
This is Snowpeak’s own-brand regulator for the StormRider and Bandit — the factory-spec part at factory pricing, sitting between the budget Lane kit and the premium Altaros drop-in. The internals match what Snowpeak ships on their regulated PCPs (M60B, Max 1, Lynx Gen 3); applying them to the StormRider gives the rifle premium-tier consistency at mid-tier price.
The tradeoff is the most extensive install of the three StormRider / Bandit options. Where the Altaros slides into the tube as a discrete regulator block, this Snowpeak unit is a valve replacement — it screws into the front half of your exhaust valve, replacing both the gauge block and the front valve half. That means a full disassembly: pull the internals, swap parts, reassemble.
For the Bandit pistol, there’s an additional step: drill a vent hole 2.1 cm ahead of the valve retaining screw hole. The partner’s product page includes a picture showing the exact location. If you’re not comfortable drilling a 250-bar reservoir tube, choose the Altaros instead.
What it pairs with
- Diana StormRider Gen 2 — the primary StormRider host
- Diana Bandit — the pistol variant (requires the additional vent hole drill)
- Diana / Artemis fill valve + gauge assembly — required companion since the stock gauge gets covered
- Altaros StormRider regulator — the easier-install alternative
- Lane StormRider kit — the budget alternative
Honest trade-offs
Most involved install of the three options. Plan on 60-90 minutes for a first-time installer. If you’re not comfortable doing a full valve disassembly and reassembly (and drilling, if you have a Bandit), the Altaros drop-in is the better choice.
Drilling a hole in a Bandit is irreversible. Once you’ve drilled the vent hole for the Bandit install, the rifle is committed to the regulator. The hole doesn’t cause any problem (the regulator is designed around it) but you can’t easily revert to the stock configuration.
Adjustment requires a re-disassembly. Unlike side-mounted external-adjustment regulators, this one is internal — to change the setting you pull the rifle apart, adjust the front flathead screw, reassemble. Best practice: leave the lock nut loose during initial install so you have adjustment headroom without re-disassembly.
