Why this case earns the pick
The GB03 is the longest case in Snowpeak’s catalog — 47″ — for the rifles that just don’t fit in standard cases. The JTS Airacuda PRS Max with its long PRS chassis and full-length barrel is the size driver here; the Reximex Throne II, the Snowpeak M16/M16A in full-power configuration, and any competition PCP with a long bull barrel and brake all need this length.
Same construction story as the GB01 and GB02 — Polyester 900D Oxford outer, PVC + PU waterproof inner, XPE foam lining. The only thing that’s different is the size, and the size is the whole point.

Honest trade-offs
Wasted space for shorter rifles. Don’t buy the GB03 for a 30″ rifle — the rifle slides around inside, the foam doesn’t grip, and you’re carrying 17″ of empty case. Use the GB02 (34.5″) or GB01 (29.5″) instead.
Bigger footprint = harder to carry. A 47″ case is the length of a guitar case — doesn’t fit cross-body in a typical sedan back seat, doesn’t fit upright in most overhead luggage. Plan vehicle storage before buying.
Soft case, not hard case. Same caveat as the rest of the Snowpeak line. For air travel with a competition rifle, a hard case is non-negotiable.
