Why this oil earns the pick
Silicone oil is the right lubricant for PCP O-rings — period. Petroleum-based oils degrade rubber seals and cause O-ring failure over time; silicone is chemically compatible with the rubber compounds used in modern PCP seals and stays slick without breaking down the seal material.
The 30ml bottle is the single-rifle-household size. A drop on each O-ring during periodic maintenance uses essentially nothing — 30ml lasts most owners 2-3 years of regular maintenance.
The long applicator is the design choice that matters in use. Fill probe O-rings, regulator O-rings inside the reservoir, hand pump piston seals — all of these live deep inside small openings where you can’t reach with a finger.
