The Hunt & Live take
Why this bottle earns the pick
40 orders, 100% positive makes the Alsafe 700cc the most validated bottle in the partner’s entire catalog. For the bench shooter or PCP hunter who wants maximum shot count between refills on the M18×1.5 airgun thread, this is the honest pick.
700cc capacity translates to roughly 200+ shots per fill on a .22 PCP at 12 ft-lbs — meaning a single fill can carry you through a full afternoon of pest control, an extended bench session, or a multi-day stand hunt without a tank refill.
The partner’s product description includes a critical safety note: “you need to limit your fill pressure to the max safe for your regulator and gun, so don’t automatically think you can fill to 4500 psi.” The bottle is rated to 4500 psi, but your rifle’s regulator and reservoir may not be. Always verify your rifle’s max fill pressure stamped on the gauge before filling.
What it pairs with
- Snowpeak M60B / Max 1 — both run M18×1.5 and benefit from the extra shot count
- JTS Airacuda Max — modern bottle-fed PCP, M18×1.5 thread
- Snowpeak Lynx Gen 3 — though the 700cc is meaningful weight for a Lynx; the 500cc is the more balanced pick
- Reximex Throne II, Mercury Compact, Mercury 500cc — all M18×1.5
For a backpacking PCP the 700cc may be too heavy — 200g more than the 500cc Snowpeak, 250g more than the lighter Alsafe 480cc. For a stand-hunting or bench rifle where weight doesn’t matter, the 700cc is the obvious shot-count win.
Honest trade-offs
Currently out of stock at time of writing. This is consistent with its popularity — the partner restocks Alsafe 700ccs in batches and they move fast. Email Wes for restock ETA, or pre-order while listed if available.
700g empty weight is meaningful on top of a 2.3-3.0 kg rifle. The 400mm cylinder length is also longer than the 500cc Snowpeak (which has no listed length spec but is shorter). Check your rifle’s bottle-clearance dimensions before ordering — some chassis designs limit bottle length.
Summer sale pricing at time of writing — if you’ve been waiting on a large bottle, this is the moment.
The fill-pressure warning above bears repeating: the bottle is rated to 4500 psi but most PCPs cap at 250-300 bar (3600-4500 psi). Filling a 250-bar rifle to 4500 psi will damage the rifle even though it doesn’t damage the bottle. Always verify your rifle’s max fill pressure.
