Quick take

The Hunt & Live take

Why this adapter earns the pick

The 1/2×20 UNF muzzle thread is the de facto standard across North American airguns and most accessories — almost every muzzle brake, thread protector, and (in the US, where they’re legal) moderator is built for 1/2×20. If your rifle is an older Diana/Artemis platform with M10×1 metric threads, you have two choices:

  1. Buy M10-specific accessories every time (limited selection, more expensive on average)
  2. Buy this adapter once, then use any 1/2×20 accessory with your rifle

For $15 or so, this is the right pick if you already own a 1/2×20 muzzle device from a previous rifle, or if you want flexibility for future accessory purchases.

What it pairs with

Rifle side (M10×1):

  • Diana StormRider, Chaser, Bandit
  • Snowpeak PR900 (original generation)
  • Artemis PP700/PP750/PP800
  • Other M10×1-threaded Diana/Artemis platforms

Accessory side (1/2×20):

Honest trade-offs

You’re adding a third joint to the muzzle: rifle threads → adapter → accessory. Three threaded interfaces means three opportunities for the assembly to come loose. Loctite the rifle/adapter joint if you’re not going to remove it frequently — the adapter/accessory joint stays as the breakable interface for cleaning.

The adapter is 3D-printed nylon, not steel. Same caveats as the budget brakes — repeated install cycles will wear the threads faster than a steel adapter would. For a permanent install with Loctite, this is fine. For frequent swaps, the limited steel-adapter options on other airgun sites (or having a machinist cut you one) are the durability upgrade.

If you don’t already own a 1/2×20 muzzle device, just buy the AGS in M10×1 thread directly (same product page, choose thread at checkout) and skip the adapter. The adapter pays off when you already have 1/2×20 accessories from another rifle or want maximum future flexibility.
