The Hunt & Live take

Why this rifle earns the pick

The Raider is one of the best-value full-power PCPs in the catalog — a hardwood-stocked bolt-action repeater at entry-tier pricing, but with details (integrated fill gauge, fiber-optic sights, two included mags) that you’d typically expect at higher tiers.

At 5.9 lb it’s one of the lightest full-power PCPs in the partner’s lineup — meaningfully lighter than the M60B (7.5 lb) or JTS Airacuda Max (7.9 lb). For field carry this is a substantial advantage.

Iron sights included mean you don’t have to buy a scope to use the rifle out of the box. For new PCP buyers who want to learn the platform before investing in optics, the Raider is the right pick.

What it pairs with

Caliber choice

  • .177 — 1050 fps, the universal target/pest choice
  • .22 — 900 fps, the universal hunting choice (most pellet selection in Canada)
  • .25 — 800 fps, more energy per shot, larger pests

Honest trade-offs

Out of stock at time of writing. Email Wes for restock ETA.

Not regulated. Like the M16, the Raider uses an unregulated valve — shot-to-shot velocity varies across the fill. For hunting and pest work this is acceptable; for serious target shooting it isn’t.

Bolt-action vs sidelever. Bolt-action is slower to cycle than the Snowpeak side-levers or JTS Airacuda. For hunters this is fine; for fast-followup shooters it matters.

Iron sights are 11mm dovetail rail. If you go optic, plan on dovetail-compatible mounts rather than Picatinny.

Canadian PAL required. Email PAL to support@airgunarcheryfun.ca after purchase.
