The Hunt & Live take

Why this rifle earns the pick

The M25W Gen II is the wood-stock upgrade of the M11/M22 line — same proven platform, but with a European Beech stock, larger 250cc air tube, and two important tuning features: the hammer spring power adjuster at the rear (on .22/.25) and the adjustable regulator inside. For shooters who want to dial in power for a specific pellet weight, those two adjusters do most of the work without buying aftermarket parts.

The Picatinny rail on the receiver makes this the right pick if you want to run modern optics — most of the M-series rifles still use 11mm dovetail, but the Gen II opens up the full Picatinny scope-ring ecosystem.

What it pairs with

Caliber choice

  • .22 — 1000 fps, the universal hunting choice, ships with hammer spring power adjuster
  • .25 — 900 fps, more energy per shot, ships with hammer spring power adjuster
  • .30 — big-bore; note: missing the hammer spring power adjuster at time of writing (partner says it’s coming as an accessory)

If you want the full tuning capability, choose .22 or .25.

Honest trade-offs

.30 caliber is missing the hammer spring power adjuster at time of writing. The partner notes the accessory is coming separately, but if you want maximum tuning today, the .22 or .25 is the right pick.

Regulator adjustment requires degassing. Unlike the M60B’s externally adjustable regulator, the M25W’s regulator is internal — you need to depressurize the rifle to access it. That makes it less ideal for in-the-field power changes.

Bottle isn’t removable — at 250cc you’re constrained by the integrated air tube. The bottle-fed M60B or Mercury is the right pick if you want field-swappable bottles.

Canadian PAL required. Suppressor option is US-only. Email PAL to support@airgunarcheryfun.ca after purchase.
