Quick take
The most modified M60B in the partner's catalog — a .30 caliber M60B with the Urban Hunter 30 cal power pellet probe installed and the valve ports drilled out for extra power. Shipping result: 905 fps with 45.68gr Snowpeak pellets at 170 bar. Same bottle-fed bullpup platform as the standard M60B; this version is the big-game-capable variant for buyers who need real terminal energy in a Canadian PCP.

The Hunt & Live take
Why this rifle earns the pick
This is the factory-modified big-bore M60B — the only stocked rifle in the partner’s catalog that ships pre-tuned for serious .30 caliber performance. Where the standard M60B maxes out in .25, this variant takes the same platform, swaps in the Urban Hunter .30 cal power pellet probe, and drills out the valve ports — the result is 905 fps with 45.68gr Snowpeak pellets at 170 bar, well into legitimate big-game energy territory.
The verified buyer review tells the story: “A++++ Wes provided outstanding service and product value. The M60B in .30 punches well above its weight and really gives much more expensive PCPs a real run for their money. My M60B is customized with a 35cc Plenum and prototype 3D print parts.” This is a platform shooters tinker with — and the partner’s pre-modification work gives you a head start.
What it pairs with
Big-bore .30 needs serious optics and refill support:
- Scope: Discovery HD 3-12×44 SFIR FFP-MIL or the Discovery ED-PRS 5-25×56 Gen 2 for longer-range work
- Mounts: Discovery 6061 Picatinny — the rifle has a 21.2mm Picatinny rail
- Bottle upgrade: Snowpeak 500cc Carbon Fiber Bottle — at .30 caliber consumption, the carbon bottle pays for itself in shots
- Fill station: Tuxing 3L Tank + Fill Station — a hand pump is impractical for a .30 caliber rifle
Honest trade-offs
.30 is expensive to shoot. 45gr Snowpeak pellets cost meaningfully more per round than .22 or .25, and the slug-rated .30 cal selection in Canada is limited. Budget for ammo before you commit.
Metric muzzle thread. Unlike the .22/.25 M60B (which has 1/2×20), the .30 cal uses a bigger metric thread. That means most US-sourced moderators won’t fit even if you’re in the US — verify thread spec before adding any muzzle device.
Canadian moderator restriction still applies. Even at .30 caliber, moderators are illegal in Canada. US buyers can opt in to the moderator at checkout; Canadian buyers get a muzzle brake substitute.
Only 8 in stock at time of writing. This is a hand-modified rifle by the partner — restocks depend on how quickly Wes can build them. If you want one, order early.
Canadian PAL required. Email your PAL photo to support@airgunarcheryfun.ca after purchase.
