The Hunt & Live take
Why this rifle earns the pick
The Cloud Ultra Plus is the .25 caliber bullpup semi-auto in the partner’s catalog — a different use case than the .22 Air Speed II. The bullpup configuration shortens overall length while keeping the long barrel for accuracy, and the .25 caliber delivers meaningfully more energy per shot than the .22 — useful for hunting larger pests or for shooters who want the higher-energy option in semi-auto trim.
The Veradium X-line valve/hammer upgrade is the headline improvement over the factory Evanix design: more efficiency, more reliability, more accuracy, and better foot-pounds-of-energy output. This is Veradium’s claim, not an independent test, but the Evanix platform globally has a long track record and the X-line upgrade applies the same proven engineering as the Air Speed II.
What it pairs with
Bullpup semi-auto wants compact optics and fast handling:
- Scope: Discovery HD 3-12×44 SFIR FFP-MIL — good light, fast target acquisition
- Mounts: check the rail type at checkout
- Refill: Tuxing 3L Tank + Fill Station — tank-fed refills for serious semi-auto shooting
- Spare mags: budget for additional mags — semi-auto burns through ammo
Honest trade-offs
Limited spec detail on the partner page. The Veradium Cloud Ultra Plus listing is light on specs (caliber and action confirmed, but mag capacity, fill pressure, velocity, weight, dimensions aren’t fully called out). Email Wes for full specs before ordering.
Out of stock at time of writing.
Bullpup ergonomics aren’t for everyone. Magazine and bolt sit behind the trigger near your face. Many shooters love it (compact, maneuverable); others can’t get past it. Try a bullpup before committing if you’ve never shot one.
Semi-auto burns air faster than bolt-action. Plan refills accordingly.
Open-bolt design means more air consumed per shot than a closed-bolt — fewer shots per fill.
Canadian PAL required. Email PAL + other ID to support@airgunarcheryfun.ca after purchase.
