Choosing the Right Elk Call

When selecting an elk call, consider a high-quality, realistic bugle or cow call that can produce a wide range of sounds. Look for calls made from durable materials, such as plastic or metal, and consider a call with interchangeable reeds or diaphragms for added versatility. A good bugle call should be able to produce a loud, clear, and realistic sound, while a cow call should be able to mimic the soft, raspy sounds of a cow.

Calling Position and Techniques

A good calling position is essential for effective cow calling. Find a comfortable and quiet spot with minimal wind and human disturbance.
