Choosing the Right Drum

Preparing the Drum for Storage

Before filling the drum with water, clean and sanitize it thoroughly. Use a mixture of 1 part bleach to 10 parts water to wipe down the interior and exterior of the drum. Allow the solution to sit for 10 minutes before rinsing the drum with clean water. Next, fill the drum with clean drinking water and seal the lid tightly.
