Working on the System

Use a wet/dry vacuum to contain any spills or water spray, and ensure the well is securely covered to prevent accidental start-up. When working with electrical components, use a voltage tester to verify de-energization of the system.

Electrical Safety and System Shut-Off

To prevent electrical shock, always verify the system is de-energized before starting work. Use a multimeter to check for voltage at the system’s electrical connections. When working on the control box, never touch electrical components with your bare hands and use a non-conductive tool to avoid electrical shock. Ensure the system’s shut-off valve is open to drain the well before starting work, and close it only when the work is complete.
