How to Build a Shelter Under a Dense Canopy?

Choosing the Right Tree

When searching for a tree to build a shelter under, look for a sturdy one with a wide canopy and a straight trunk. Avoid trees with dead or broken branches, as they can collapse and cause injury. A good tree should have an overhanging branch that is at least 5-6 feet off the ground, providing a natural roof for your shelter.
