The “zone scan” involves breaking your surroundings into three zones: near, middle, and far. Each zone is scanned in sequence, allowing you to prioritize potential threats and identify resources. The “P.A.R.T. scan” involves scanning for Perimeter (surroundings), Animals (wildlife), Resources (food, water, shelter), and Terrain (obstacles, hazards). This technique helps you quickly assess your environment and identify potential threats and resources.
