In addition to the right layers, consider the following gear to enhance comfort while hunting in extreme cold: insulated, waterproof gloves or mittens, a face mask or balaclava to protect your skin from wind and cold, and a warm hat or beanie. When tracking beagles in the snow, stay warm and dry by using trekking poles to distribute the weight and make it easier to walk through deep snow.
