Igloo Construction Techniques

To build an igloo, start by creating the foundation, which involves laying down a layer of snow bricks in a circular pattern. Continue stacking the bricks in a spiral pattern, ensuring that each layer is slightly smaller than the one below it. This will help distribute the weight of the snow evenly and provide a stable structure. Aim to build the igloo about 6-8 feet tall, depending on the thickness of the snow. Use a snow saw or a sharp knife to cut blocks and shape the structure as needed.

Advantages and Disadvantages

An igloo can provide excellent insulation and protection from harsh weather conditions, but it requires a significant amount of snow and manual labor to build.
